Fed: Beazley commits to supporting=2

Mr Beazley, who said he had no plans to quit politics, told reporters it was far too
late for disunity.

"It is never the time in the Labor Party for disunity and it is far too late for disunity
now," he said.

"We face a common challenge and the common challenge is to deal with the real needs
and aspirations of ordinary Australians.

"Because in many ways over the last few years our Australian way has been lost, that
sense of fairness and equity, and the Labor Party's challenge - and it's a challenge that
I know Mark Latham takes up and holds close to him - is to restore that sense of the Australian
way."
