NSW: Rees says minister's television payment to be investigated

New South Wales Premier NATHAN REES says claims one of his ministers used taxpayer
funds to buy a television will be investigated.

The Daily Telegraph says Primary Industries Minister IAN MACDONALD bought an LCD television
for his home in 2005 and charged the 13-hundred dollar cost to taxpayers.

A spokeswoman for Mr MACDONALD has told the paper the TV was for official use and is
no longer in the minister's home but has been moved to his office .. although she won't
say when the move happened.

Opposition leader BARRY O'FARRELL says every member of parliament uses televisions
at home for work-related purposes .. without slugging taxpayers.

Mr REES says a probe is underway.
